Your responsibilities

• The incumbent will be responsible for leading the end to end process of the Production of the Annual and Interim reports Continental Europe which includes dual language documents – French and English. The Position will also be responsible for the submission of the FINREP reporting to the Local Regulator and also contribute to the Board Packs

• Interim and annual report and accounts Coordination, critical review and finalization for HBCE document with regulator guidelines, external audit and senior Management review

• Writing and reviewing the Narratives of the Document on the Financial statements in French and English

• Financial statements commentary and contribution to the Key accounting papers for the Audit Committee

• Own and ensure submission of the FINREP Reporting to the Local regulator, which complies with the EBA/ECB/ACPR Guidance.

• Coordinating Disclosure Forums and Connects with the Section owners of Annual and Interim Report

• Ensuring that the Regulator queries and responses are prioritized, working with Policy and FA teams to comply with any new reporting requirements

• Prepare disclosure proposals and papers for discussion with senior stakeholders including HBCE’s SFO and CAO. Also drive alignment with Group/HBEU ARA and the AMF Guidance

• Interface with external, internal auditors and the Local Regulators and Internal Stakeholders

• Review accounting/reporting issues and their impact to processes, controls and the ARA

• Ensure a robust control environment through implementation and execution of controls monitoring

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Accounting Qualification with +7 years of work experience.
• Financial Reporting work experience.
• Change management experience is an advantage
• Analytical review / problem solving skills
• Able to connect dots and deal with ambiguity and partial inputs
• Able to take multiple inputs into consideration before pronouncing an opinion
• Be able to build analytical models
• Able to review Disclosures and understand their linkage to each other
• Have a strong Risk and control mind-set
• Ability to interpret IFRS statutes/ policy guidance/Regulatory guidance to practical application
• Strong business communication skills- written and oral
