ABOUT THE PROJECT
Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2023 and beyond, we are currently seeking a Cyber SRE Cryptography Operations Analyst. Cyber SRE Cryptography Operations Analyst will be part of the Cryptography Services Operations team based in Sheffield, primarily focused on SSH/SSL deliverables.
The Cryptography Services team provide a wide range of Cryptographic consultations and solutions to internal customers globally. This role will specifically focus on SSH and SSL processes provided through Venafi Trust Protection Platform.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with Global team members – as SME for Venafi Product and processes held by Cryptographic services
• Identify gaps in processes and escalate them accordingly
• Identify risks of changes and propose mitigation
• Lead the process of change implementation closely working with Vendors’ support and Global Internal teams
• Work on continuous data enhancement quality
• Prepare reports from multiple sources to identify problems or track progress
• Act as first line of escalation for other team members
• Support team members Work with end users to help build solutions for non-standard queries
• Respond in timely manner on urgent production issues that require Cryptographic services assistance
• Engage with business functions to help them understand the SSH/SSL key remediation process and support progress
• Implement Change Management control in support of tasks
• Troubleshoot certificates’ generation problems and connection issues between Venafi TPP and target servers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE
• Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Internal/External Key stakeholders, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams
• Analytical skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
• Operational effectiveness – delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security, risk and regulatory standards
• Good understanding on IT Infrastructure technical platforms / technologies
• A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
• Understanding of SSH/SSL functionality and usage
• Strong Documentation skills
• Will for development in Cryptography
Required:
Venafi Experience, Confluence, Jira, SSL/SSH, Advanced Data Analysis in Excel
Optional:
Github, Splunk, Windows Admin
