Overview:

The Corporate Treasury & Finance Risk team is an important pillar of The Treasury Risk Management (TRM) Second Line of Defense team for balance sheet risk for the company. The team provides subject matter expert oversight over Treasury activities specific to Capital, Stress Testing, Recovery and Resolution and Financial planning in the form of strategy, policies and analysis to support effective risk management. This includes collaborative and critial thinking with Treasury and Global business (the First Line of Defence) to ensure early identification and remediation of emerging risks.

TRM is looking to grow through 2024 in support of their stewardship capabilities. Poland will play a role in the overall footprint of the organization. Team members will be tackle a variety of the balance sheet risk for the complex bank. Ideal candidates will progres in providing stewardship and oversight over Stress Testing and Recovery and Resolution planning activities across all Treasury risks, including Capital, Liquidity, Funding, Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Markets Treasury, Non trading book FX, Insurance and Pension Risk.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage with and support the Group and Regional Treasury Risk stewards in the delivery of Stress Testing processes to ensure delivery of Stress Testing activities within regulatory and internally mandated timelines.
  • Support the Review stress testing processes as it pertains to Treasury risks including but not limited to the scenarios that are chosen for the stress tests and assumptions made. Perform and document independent analysis on the assumptions to ensure independent viewpoint. Support and refine existing stress model assumptions and controls (limits, guidelines, model framework).
  • Analyze and validate Stress Testing results and provide insightful commentary and reports of for various Internal and Regulatory Stress Test exercises / submissions and the capabilities maintained within businesses, functions and legal entities to support these processes.
  • Partner and liaise with Regional and Global Treasury Risk managers to understand and highlight key Portfolio Risk and escalate issues.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Group Recovery Plan (GRP) and the biennial Group Resolvability Assessment Framework (RAF) Self–Assessment for submission to regulators.
  • Support the Review, challenge and stewardship on the risk elements of the Group submissions and the capabilities maintained within businesses, functions and legal entities to support Group submissions.

What you need to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Treasury Risks. Excellent working knowledge of Stress Testing and Recovery and Resolution related regulation and processes.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education in a quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced analysis techniques including experience of working / manipulating large data sets.
  • Ability to interpret complex risk reports from multiple sources and ability to identify key material risks.
  • Advanced understanding of reporting requirements, data lineage, architecture within the bank will be advantageous.
  • Understanding of incoming regulatory directives impacting Treasury.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Team player, Ability to form strong working relationships.
  • Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills.
