What you’ll do
- Coordinating the production of external Germany/ HBCE ESG disclosures.
- Driving continuous improvement by suggesting ideas and supporting delivery of optimisation and improvement of ESG processes
- Build trusted relationships with contributors in the business and function areas to facilitate robust, balanced and informed reporting.
- Build effective relationships with other relevant stakeholders as needed (e.g. Sustainability, Strategy, Risk, and Financial & Regulatory Reporting);
- Assist in resolving senior management queries for HBCE. Support the management of all HBCE ESG reporting deliverables and processes, including maintenance of process and verification and assurance documentation.
- There will be increasing need to expand and enhance the ESG disclosures and data solutions as ESG disclosure requirements (e.g. EU Taxonomy and EBA Pillar 3 ESG risks) continue to evolve. This requires working collaboratively with teams across the businesses and functions to drive action and deliver high quality reporting.
- Maintain awareness of industry and regulatory developments in Europe ESG disclosure requirements.
- Help to maintain and drive strong controls around data integrity and accuracy for all ESG reporting.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within Finance at a major institution, ideally with experience of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and new reporting requirements.
- Project management and business analysis skills, including creating lean processes and governance structures.
- Commercial outlook – able to connect numbers, performance drivers and ‘real world’ events.
- Knowledge and experience with financial and regulatory reporting data and systems.
- Highly-motivated, diligent, collaborative, personable and capable of working independently and exercising judgment.
- Strong people and communication skill – able to develop and articulate a viewpoint when working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Quantitative degree, ideally with professional education in Finance (Qualified Accountant).
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
