Description

Project Manager – The role is required to lead and drive the end-to-end project management of the Capital Planning Book of Work (BoW).  Capital planning processes are currently reliant on legacy processes involving EUCs and manual processes.  The BoW will demise EUC’s by providing an automated platform for calculations and standardized reporting. It is a high- profile project with senior management focus and the role would provide a visible change leadership for senior stakeholders.

The Project Manager will:

  • Be responsible for the project plan and delivery of Capital Planning BoW. This includes project planning, resources management, dependencies management and engagement with all stakeholders and delivery partners within IT, Treasury Capital Management business and the wider team.
  • Agree and manage dependencies on core delivery team, including release delivery, environment provision and data sharing approval.
  • Responsible for the overall training and communications required for change implementation of the project.
  • Implement Target Operation Model and business vision for the project.
  • Drive project delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, and risks.
  • Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities, and schedules.
  • Establish effective project controls and procedures.
  • Set high expectations for delivery quality and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to programme leadership and steering committees as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations to influence decision making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
  • Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives and to the change portfolio across Finance.
  • Drive the adoption of Change Framework and agile speed of work methodology.
  • Monitor compliance to Bank’s Change Framework and close any deficiencies.
  • Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to programme / project objectives.

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Change Delivery Lifecycles and Delivery Methodologies with an appreciation of systems and data architectures.
  • Experienced with process mappings and development of target operating models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Agile Certifications including Leading SAFe (5.1) or equivalent an advantage
  • Exposure to Six Sigma (Black Belt or MBB certified) would be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of Capital Planning processes including key regulatory capital metrics ideal

Educational Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business/ related subject or equivalent experience

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to effectively engage and interact with senior management across various functions.
  • Proactive and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Leadership skills with ability to coach and provide direction to more junior colleagies
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to structure problems and find solutions
  • A self-starter with excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Team player with ability to manage conflict and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to quickly attain understanding of new systems and processes

Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years of managerial/ leadership experience in change management.
  • Financial Services project mangement experience, ideally with experience in Capital regulatory reporting or Planning/Forecasting.
  • Experience of project delivery in Treasury/ Finance within large financial institutions ideal
