The company surveillance team has started the programme of work to demise a legacy automated trade surveillance system, which aims to detect various forms of market abuse and misconduct by traders and clients of the investment bank. Legacy detection models will be replaced by a strategic vendor solution, which is already live, externally cloud-hosted and can be expanded, and other legacy models will be replaced by models designed in-house and implemented on an in-house, java-based detection and analysis system. The markets covered will be equity, fixed income and FX, across a majority of the 30+ countries in which investment bank operates.

The IT side of the programme is led by Chetana Deo whose role in the organisation is work closely with Transformation / business to align scope, requirements, business engagements and wok closely IT teams / streams in Trade and Integration to manage overall IT deliveries required for Trade Transformation. This includes in-house built solutions like MARS, SDEP, SDEF and vendor solution – Trading Hub.

The role requested is specific to Global Actimize Trading Hub implementation – end to end IT delivery management. The work stream is still under planning and programme currently does not have a dedicated person for the same. The lack of resource is blocks and delays progress on several work streams, causing significant delivery risk.

This role is required to own the end-end delivery plan for department Trading Hub implementation. The full range of work for the role – managing plan and overall coordination is likely to be 9 to 12 months of work for 1 FTE, depending on the level of detail required for each country.

Resources to

  • Start as soon as possible – after 1st Sept ideally and 15th Oct 2021 at the latest
  • Expected to finish by end of Q4 2022, according to project progress
  • Work under direction of the IT Programme Manager
  • Liaise between Surveillance IT teams, transformation/ business teams, vendor team
  • Engage with staff in Asia, Europe and Americas time zones

    Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Create and manage end to end delivery plan for MSS Trading Hub delivery for Trade Transformation
  • Plan to include tracking of all IT tasks like
    • Data delivery for vendor via SDF
    • All integration deliveries – MI, DAP, SCM, WORM
    • Dependency management across all IT teams (e.g. making sure SDF getting requirements from all integration streams)
  • Manage RAID log for the workstream
  • Track and coordinate for all the dependencies from Transformation / Business teams like Requirements being available for IT, Data Approvals for all countries, EHCs, UATs, etc
  • Make sure workstream is adequate on resources, finances
  • Manage / Coordinate vendor contracts and approvals around the same

Responsibilities does NOT include

• Working in Data Visas, Writing requirements for IT
• Managing / Engaging directly with business for country requirements, this should be done via Transformation team
• Prioritizing backlogs for the workstream PODs
• People Management in various IT streams

Wider / General Responsibilities

• Completion of tasks assigned by the IT Programme Manager to agreed timescales, scope and quality measures
• Management of stakeholders and project staff, including surveillance IT teams, vendors, users, managers of other projects and other departments within company.
• Management of workstream activities along with respective Product Owner: prioritizing work activities and issues arising, arranging workshops, tracking progress, promoting collaboration, and escalating issues which cannot be addressed by the workstream staff.
• Manage all phases of project lifecycle: documentation of requirements and acceptance criteria, analysis, design, implementation, designing tests, managing test exercises, coordinating fixes, release management, go-live, user support
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal policies and control standards, and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour
• Using and adapting the Disciplined Agile methodology

Ideal Experience

• 10+ years of Project Management and skills like – managing plans, RAID, management reporting
• Good hands-on Agile methodology, JIRA, etc
• Administration, documentation, following process
Good to have
• Hands-on on Microsoft Project Plan / any plan management tools
• Hands on managing scaled agile team deliveries
• Working with trade data in at least one of equity and/or fixed income products, including cash equity, equity futures and options, OTC derivatives and swaps in equity, bonds, ABS, MBS, interest rate swaps, bond futures, and other fixed income OTC derivatives.
