Lead Test Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join the team as Lead Test Engineer (Manual + Selenium test automation) to support the public websites portfolio. Successful candidate will become a part of the delivery team working on the public websites (development & maintenance) including some of the key their business lines.
You will be part of a cross functional team transforming the digital capabilities. Driving innovation, delivering products in ever-shortening cycles and helping to drive the continuous improvement of processes, tooling and engineering practices. The team is based across Poland, UK, India and China.


 Responsible for initiating and ensuring the technical and delivery-facing leadership for all aspects of QA engineering at portfolio level
 Initiating test automation and test engineering practices (manual and automation), including aspects of ‘software development in test
 Leading the delivery of test engineering, typically using agile and CI/CD methods including influencing how the teams develop user stories and acceptance criteria, typically deploying Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
 Drive end to end Testing strategy working with QA team members, technical teams, stakeholders at various levels of
Agile delivery lifecycle
 Play a key role in end to end testing of products supported by the delivery team including detailed requirements analysis and preparing test strategies, estimates, test cases, execution, reports etc.
 Work closely with other DevOps engineers in the team to deliver products with expected quality
 Help in implementation and execution of automated test cases with MCIT’s Selenium WebDriver framework
 Perform different types of testing (Functional, UI, Smoke, Regression, Performance, Accessibility) also help in automation and performance testing
 Analyse test metrics and prepare test summary reports for stakeholders and management
 Ensure tractability between requirements and test cases
 Propose and implement appropriate testing tools for front-end quality assurance
 Identify automation candidates at different projects and develop test cases for particular products
 Share the knowledge and guide rest of the manual testers to up- skill them in to automation testing


Required: Test automation, Manual testing, Selenium WebDriver, Browserstack, Jenkins, GitHub, Gatling, Azure cloud, Functional testing, Non- functional testing, Agile, English communication

 Overall 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in testing roles including manual and automation testing
 Extensive hands-on test experience within Agile projects, with a strong understanding of the Sprint, CI/CD and release testing lifecycles
 Strong automation experience and the ability to specify, to develop and to implement automation frameworks such as Selenium and advice on industry best practice
 At least 2 years of automation testing experience specially with Selenium WebDriver
 Pro-active in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and execution
 Knowledge and experience of working with Open Source tools and Cloud based services including WebDriver, Jenkins, GitHub and REST libraries (RESTAssured, Karate)
 Demonstrable experience of working with cloud based web applications such as Azure cloud platform
 Defining and advising on test scope, approach, risks and assumptions across DevOps and agile testing
 Ability to work with all relevant parties (project, technical teams, technical product manager, and stakeholder) to ensure an effective test service is maintained throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle
 Ability to work as a manual and automation test lead and drive the test strategy end to end
 Past experience of public website testing in various browsers and devices
 Past Experience in using tools like Jmeter, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (VSTS), GitHub, Gatling


Optional: JMeter, Gatling, Performance testing, Security testing, Web protocols, Postman, CI/CD, Rest libraries, JIRA, Confluence

 Experience of leading and guiding fellow QA team expected
 Experience of working in agile and multinational environment is expected
 Experience in Performance testing using Jmeter and/or Security testing
 Knowledge of accessibility testing and best practices is advantageous
 Familiarity with Sitecore CMS or any other CMS would be a great asset
 Ability to work independently, produce high standards of work
