IT Project Manager

Team is focused on the Trade Transformation Programme, therefore searching for the Project Manager who will take a lead role in the EMEA region for planned deployments.

The role of the Project Manager is to take responsibility for the end to end project management of one or more projects within the Global Receivables Finance domain.

This job manages change initiation, design and delivery and is accountable for successful delivery of the project/programme and ensuring benefits realisation.

As a Project Manager within the team you will lead and co-ordinate all the activities required for a successful project delivery. This requires working closely with all technical teams engaged on the project globally. You will also work with a broad range of stakeholders across Transformation and the Global business to ensure overall project and programme success.


To be successful within the role the candidate should have a proven track record of owning and delivering complex Infrastructure delivery projects under demanding timelines.

This role would demand understanding of how their infrastructure projects intersect with business, Software delivery teams and build awareness and capabilities in those areas. You are expected to build strong relationships across service lines and with their internal partners in other service lines and central teams.

While this is not a pure technical role, the responsibilities include driving and influencing engineering and infrastructure work with teams across the service line.

Understanding technical issues and effective communication with engineering teams is a must.



  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management of system / infrastructure/ projects, network and ITIL processes design and implementation
  • Experience managing the delivery of large programmes (USD $1m+)
  • Relevant product knowledge, including knowledge of standard project management tools and methodologies, including tools /packages like Jira, Confluence, Clarity, Open Workbench, MS Project, MS Office etc.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to understand complex technical and business engineering projects
  • A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programmes and managing technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Build strong relationships across service lines and with our internal partners in other service lines and central teams
  • Experience in entire project lifecycle (from initiation to post implementation review) and take responsibility for the delivery of all components of the project released into Production
  • Creating and maintaining standard project management artefacts to conform to standards
  • Track, Plan and coordinate end to end multiple project delivery across components and teams that are responsible for successful delivery of the project
  • Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
  • Manage programme budgets, including headcount and software delivery capitalisation.
  • Manage negotiation with and management of and service agreement monitoring of third party contracts with technology suppliers
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and other IT stakeholders
  • Leading and motivating the project team towards successful delivery, this will be spread across numerous diverse locations
  • Reporting, verbally and in writing, project status and progress to senior managers and stakeholders
  • Naturally accountable and responsible, self-starting approach, self –motivating with strong facilitation skills
  • Manage risks and issues proactively, track, mitigate and escalate; where required
  • Strong servant leadership skills & relationship management and networking skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiating skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 


Nice to have:

  • People management, Performance management, Vendor management experience
  • Experience with Cloud services, Containerization and operating system would be an advantage
  • Agile SCRUM experience
  • Experienced in scrum master and people management
  • Understanding and implementation of key agile artefacts
  • Understanding of Agile metrics and reporting. Release burn downs, Sprint Burn downs, Velocity etc. & User story mapping
  • Story point sizing and ranking according to value based priorities for evaluation of a Minimum Viable Product
  • Experience in the Banking industry and have managed large scale projects
  • Ensuring the adherence to architecture standards, along with compliance with FIM, SOX, etc.
  • Understanding of Commercial Lending domains
  • Any Kanban skills, restriction of WIP
  • Any BDD development or implementation
  • Agile risk management
  •  An understanding of Receivables Finance & GTRF domain would be an added advantage
  • Experience in Broadcom Plex & Java would be advantageous
  • Role relevant qualifications, e.g. PMI accreditation is desirable but not essential
